Mr. Keathley began his legal career more than 20 years ago as a prosecutor in Texas’ 33rd Judicial District, and he served as the Navarro County District Attorney from 2002 until 2007. With the insights that experience provides him in terms of how the state builds and presents its cases, Mr. Keathley is able to go on “offense” and defend his clients from a position of strength.
Mr. Keathley has extensive trial experience, even for someone who has practiced law for more than two decades. He has successfully represented clients against charges ranging from DWI to homicide.
Even if you have never spent a day in jail, a criminal record can impact your job opportunities, prevent you from coaching youth sports, make it difficult to obtain financing or keep you from renting an apartment. At Keathley & Keathley, we help individuals remove criminal convictions from their record through the expungement process. Call us to find out how you can clear your criminal record.
We Are Committed To Protecting Your Rights And Minimizing The Impact On Your Life
We avoid formulaic approaches to criminal defense, preferring instead to closely examine all aspects and evidence in your case before settling on a legal strategy. If necessary, we interview witnesses and reach out to a trusted circle of skilled investigative specialists who will gather additional evidence that will strengthen your defense.
Our objective is always to minimize the impact that criminal charges have on your life. We protect the rights of individuals who face a wide variety of criminal charges, including:
- Domestic violence
- Drug crimes
- Theft and burglary
- Weapons crimes
- Sex crimes
- Federal crimes
- Juvenile crimes
Because an informed client is more engaged in his or her own defense, we take the time to explain your options at every step, as well as talk through the short- and long-term consequences of each decision that must be made.
Often, criminal charges stem from other challenges that individuals are wrestling with, such as alcohol or drug addiction, or emotional or mental issues. When it makes sense, we petition the court for alternative sentencing programs that not only keep our clients from being incarcerated, but also help them get their lives back on track.
If you face charges of drug possession, have been accused of sexual assault or face any other criminal charges, you need a lawyer who understands how the state will build its case and what it will take to produce the best possible outcome.
Contact us to schedule an initial consultation in which we will review the facts of your case and recommend the best course of action.
